TestComplete version 8 introduces built-in support for the Axosoft OnTime, Atlassian JIRA and Software Planner issue-tracking systems. This support means you can easily add error reports to these systems directly from TestComplete’s test log. To do this, you use some new items in the test log's context menu and toolbar:

DelphiScript is one of the scripting languages supported by TestComplete and has been supported from the first release of the product. In TestComplete version 8 the DelphiScript engine has been re-written and improved. DelphiScript in TestComplete 8 now has some new features while several of its former restrictions have been removed.

TestComplete 8 includes some very noticeable recording improvements. These include changes in the recording toolbar, the settings used for recording and storing information on objects’ methods and properties in your automated tests.

Among the numerous improvements in TestComplete 8, there is one quite useful for users that perform testing of web pages that contain dynamic controls and menus that change when the mouse hovers over them (without clicking). During test recording, TestComplete 8 detects mouse hover actions that cause changes in the contents of the tested web page and automatically records these actions as calls to the HoverMouse method simulating mouse hovering when playing back the test.
