SD West iPod Touch Winners By Bobby Edgar @ 12:39 PM 0 Comments

I would like to take a moment to congratulate the iPod Touch winners from the SDWest show in Santa Clara. We gave away 5 in all and had a great time doing it!

It was definitely a sight and since most of you could not be there we did get a good group picture to share:

iPod Giveaway Crowd

On the first day we gave away 1 iPod Touch. The lucky winner was Mark Hollman:

Day two brought about two more winners. The first winner was spotted walking around the exhibit hall sporting one of our shirts. Spencer Crissman:

The second winner of the day was drawn from a list of people who had stopped by the booth. Unfortunately due to technical difficulties I do not have a picture of the winner available. Cynthia Cooley was the lucky winner.

Day three again brings us two more winners. The first was spotted in a session wearing a TestComplete t-shirt. This time we have a picture but no name to go with it:

The last and final winner again showed up at the booth and was lucky enough to have her name drawn. The winner was Piya John:

Again I would like to thank everyone that showed up and participated. We had a great time! Congratulations again to our winners and we look forward to doing this again next month at STPCon in San Mateo, CA. If you can make it to that show make sure you stop by our booth so you can enter to win your own iPod Touch!

Test Playback Performance By Alex Kuzin @ 1:35 AM 0 Comments

Automated tests usually execute faster than manual tests, however, depending on the application size and the testing process adopted by your QA team, even automated tests may take a significant amount of time to run. We just published a new article on our web site that shows how to optimize and improve your tests in TestComplete, so that they run faster. Enjoy!

Profiling SQL Server CLR Integration Assemblies By Alex Kuzin @ 12:35 AM 0 Comments

Microsoft SQL Server 2005 hosts .NET Framework and provides developers with the possibility to create stored procedures, triggers and functions in C# .NET, Visual Basic .NET and Visual C++ .NET. The created assemblies are uploaded to SQL Server and stored in system catalogs. You can then create special database objects such as functions, procedures, triggers, types and aggregates, that will connect to the assemblies and call the CLR routines. For instance, you can create a Transact-SQL query that will call a routine from a CLR integration assembly the same way it calls other Transact-SQL functions.

Profiling of these assemblies with AQtime has a number of peculiarities. This article highlights these peculiarities and explains how you can profile CLR integration assemblies with AQtime.
