Coverage Testing With TestComplete and AQtime

TestComplete integrates with AutomatedQA’s profiling and debugging tool — AQtime — to help software developers and engineers improve application quality. Using this bundle, QA teams can perform comprehensive coverage testing of applications and easily determine which application areas are covered or not covered by their automated tests. The coverage data is collected by AQtime while TestComplete's automated tests simulate user actions on the application under test. After the coverage test is over, the collected results are sent to TestComplete.

Here are the highlights of coverage testing with TestComplete and AQtime:

AQtime collects coverage information on several levels of detail: line coverage, routine coverage, class, file or module.
AQtime includes specific filters that let you easily exclude unnecessary application areas from coverage analysis.
Using specific triggers and actions you can turn on and off the logging of coverage results during the run.
TestComplete launches the tested application under AQtime automatically, using settings from the test project level, without the need for testers to add additional test statements.
Coverage results generated by AQtime are automatically included into TestComplete’s log to simplify analysis.
AQtime can be controlled from automated tests for better tuning of the coverage testing process.
